On October 1, 2025, the International Conference Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Inner Mongolian People’s Party was held at the Japanese Parliament Building (the House of Councillors Members’ Office Building), organized by the Inner Mongolian People’s Party (President: Khereid Khuvisgalt). My wife Yoko and I also cooperated in the planning and organization of the conference and participated in it.
This conference was held to commemorate the historical milestone marking 100 years since the founding of the Inner Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (October 13, 1925), the predecessor organization of the Inner Mongolian People’s Party, which has served as the central organization of the ethnic movement seeking freedom and independence for Southern Mongolia—representing a century of the national independence movement from China.
At the opening ceremony of the conference, my wife Yoko and I were presented with certificates of appreciation by Mr. Khereid Khuvisgalt, President of the Inner Mongolian People’s Party. We were deeply honored and expressed our intention to continue standing in solidarity with the movement seeking freedom, human rights, and independence for Southern Mongolia.
A comprehensive report on the conference as a whole has been published on the website of the Southern Mongolian Human Rights Information Center, based in New York (Director: Enkhbat Togochog), with photographs and videos.
Former President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj (2009–2017) attended the conference throughout the day and, in addition to delivering remarks as a guest of honor, gave a lecture moderated by Mr. Enkhbat Togochog.
